Surprise Proposal at Villa del Sol d'Oro

To date, this surprise proposal has been the most exciting non wedding event I have had the pleasure of documenting!! Justin reached out to me because he wanted to propose to his beautiful girlfriend, Victoria! After weeks of plotting, and planning… we decided to do a fake “Stylized Shoot”, and we were going to persuade or better yet, trick Victoria into being the model for this gig. So I posted a “Model Call” on my Instagram and Justin and I waited, sweated it out and to our surprise she graciously bit! Which quickly followed up with her saying “or I can do the models’s make up?” So I had to play it cool, and not seem desperate to have HER and only her model for me. As you can see, she’s a stunning woman, so it was easy to tell her I needed her for this Stylized Shoot. Justin was going to be the male model, BUT he played so hard to get which made the drama of this planning even more fun. While he was playing hard to get and not really wanting to do something that seemed so odd, he was secretly scheming and planning behind the scenes! Justin was setting up a post engagement party! He was coordinating friends and family to fly in that same weekend and to double surprise for Victoria. Not to mention he had the exciting pressure to pop the question during this fake Stylized Shoot!!!! We selected this beautiful location Villa Del Sol O’Oro in Pasadena, and Victoria commented when she got there, “wow this would be a nice place to get married”. Justin was surprisingly calm the entire time we shot. They “modeled” for me, hugged, kissed and ran through the little garden area… Justin set the stage and had a few songs set to play from his phone with speakers. We set up the pre planned spot, and as they danced I directed Victoria and then Justin got down on his knee and held out her ring. He was behind her, so Victoria didn’t initial notice. So when she finally turned around, she gasped in shock and turned ran away as happy tears streamed down her face. She cried some more and then finally with her hands over her face walked back to Justin who was still on his knee…and then they embraced. She said yes, he gave her the ring, and they hugged, laughed and cried some more. It was litterally perfect!
